How does one judge the one in the mirror?
As it reflects back perfectly how you output, how quickly is one drawn into that spiral?
Its so perfect a reflection that its most of the time TOO fast to see what we're doing because we've already begun doing it.

Just as the age old story goes, Narcissus looked into that pool of water and fell in love with himself not realizing it was simply a reflection, inevitably leading to him falling in and drowning.

So the way one judges the mirror, is truly the way you judge the world and especially your Self. And that mirror spiral doesnt start "in there", but truly from the way one feels toward the one in the mirror as a separate entity altogether, whether they see it that way or not.  They literally identify attributes to the one in the mirror at the speed of light.

What a tool for the growing ego consciousness!

Lets start by separating from the mirror as a "reflection"?  Have you ever tried looking in a mirror for a bit and then looking at a wall as if you were still looking in a mirror???  Go and try it for a bit...

What are those gestures? Those eyebrow motions? Those squints? That stare? What and why? How does your own sense of presence (simply you feeling yourself with no mirror) differ when looking in the mirror vs the wall? When did that spiral called a role/perception/personality/self-image really begin? Does the image define or does the presence define?  These are good questions!  WHO, is in control?

The point is, we're more than this, inherently greater than all the human "games" we play, tangibly more than form reaching our essence, and anything less is a self-LIMITING human production.  Whether one is self confident or self victimizing, it remains a Truth.  All of this world is practical, definitely, but also ALL IMpersonal despite that delusion.  So its absolutely up to the individual whether they see life as a victim or as a free experience.  Sometimes we forget in the timeline of infinity, we're practically a bunch of  skeletons dancing and playing.  So how free is your skeleton to party?  What "holds it back" from the next party?  Does that skeleton "think" too much?  Can that skeleton come and go in peace?  As one teacher said to me, at some point every Master has to die to this world.

So really, the only thing that should stop unconditional love from being received by another entity is the other entity not wanting to receive it based on their choice, their own self imposed limitations.  But that is THEIR choice, not YOURS.  How you perceive them is still yours to own and be.

Sounds a lot like "free will" to me. And that's what we live in, a reality where we, as beings of form, are given the CHOICE in how to treat ourselves, the dude/dudet in the mirror. Unconditional love is a natural state of life, we may be taught to be "less" or "better" along the way. Unconditional love is always given though, and its up to you to decide what to do with it. We are perfect beings, so what do you do with that understanding in this world?

Treat others the way you would like to be treated. (sound familiar?)

So what is a great opportunity? The way you perceive others is the way you perceive yourself.  That mirror is a perfect reflection. Your initial reaction TO that entity may cause Narcissus to become drunk with emotion again, and that spiral to continue to his demise. If one can catch that reaction and begin to see it as separate, then one may be able to catch their own bafoonery.

Update! Just watched Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon and in the last fight scene (a mirror scene as well) he hears his master:

Remember, the enemy has only images and illusions behind which he hides his true motives.  Destroy the image and you will break the enemy.

The way you perceive that other creature is a reflection of how you perceive yourself.  The way you perceive this realm is the way you perceive your beingness.  Are you a "person", trapped, or are you more like a river flowing downstream.  It begins with you. Its a perfect reflection, a perfect tool.  Close your eyes, know God, feel God, know unconditional love... open them and so you shall receive...close your eyes again understanding it is born within you as a simple choice.  It IS you.  And you can know it in others.  Now walk with that gift.

Humility is a gift of god. As an infinite being of time and space, eternal in nature, be NOW the master revisiting this time and story. Glad to love and learn more.  Glad to relive this moment, greater than flesh and blood, GOOD to this body because it understands its greatness and knows all fear is illusion.  One who loves a sense of humor and play with all of life.  One that is trusted and knows how to smile at all of creation. One that can SEE and smile from the heart at all others, including that "magical mirror", simply because they are ALL greater.  En Joy
